BMW the German company is always known for its high performance and luxuries SUV’s, but about a decade ago they didn’t get in a right way for the first time so far. That was company’s first ever compact SUV and of course inspired by that is it’s renowned and established sibling that is X5. But as a matter of fact it’s not necessary that all children of a mother are same and as good as others. Same thing was happened with 2012 BMW X3 as it had a stiff ride with a high price just because a tag of BMW with it and also some subpar materials used in interior. So to correct their first ever mistake they redesigned the whole X3 last year and now back with the superior and improved result “the 2012 BMW X3”.

2012 BMW X3 has two trim levels according to engines used one is xDrive28i and other one is xDrive35i. As usual these 5 seated luxury and compact crossover SUV’s suffered by BMW’s silly naming but automobile specialist call them “Crossover devil” because of its awesome looks and performance. The 28i have great features as a compact SUV like alloy wheels with 17 inches of base, automatic fog-lights with wipers and headlights, 8-way power front seats, steering wheel wrapped with telescoping and tilt leather, automatic controlling system for climates, Bluetooth connectivity and BMW’s special electronic iDrive interface.

People who love to listening music while driving are also entertained by 2012 BMW X3 as they armed this SUV by 12- surrounded sound systems with HD radio (AM/FM), CD player and also an audio jack for USB or iPod interface. The xDrive35i is quite similar to 28i but with few additive features like a panoramic roof xenon headlight which is adaptive, interior that’s appear to be wooden and also 18 or 19 inches alloy wheels. In both models of X3 a 3.0 liter inline6 engine is used with turbochargers. 28i’s engine can make 221 lbs-ft of torque and generate power about 240 HP while in case of 35i engine develop power about 300 HP and torque of 300 lbs-ft. acceleration of X3’s are also quite commendable as they hit 0 to 60 mph mark in just 5.6 seconds. Fuel economy with 2012 BMW X3 is also good, combined mpg in city and highways is 21.

 Safety features

 All safety equipments generally used in BMW is also armed with X3’s like airbags with front seat and its sides, antilock disc brake with automatic drying, side curtain air bags of full length, stability and hill descent controlling systems etc. Braking of 2012 BMW X3 is also very sharp as it stopped in just 116 feet at a speed of 60mph.
